Mark Olsen
Mark Olsen, is a C.P.A. with significant experience in the paper industry.
Mark served as the Chief Financial Officer for Old Town Fuel & Fiber, a pulp mill and bio-refinery, and Gorham Paper and Tissue, a specialty paper mill. Both companies are owned by Patriarch Partners, a New York City based Private Equity firm. Old Town was purchased in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding, and Gorham’s assets were purchased out of a Chapter 7 liquidation. Today, Gorham Paper and Tissue has an annual capacity of over 200,000 tons of fine paper, specialty towel and tissue products. In addition to traditional CFO responsibilities, he was responsible for securing the financing for a $35mm state of the art tissue machine installed at the Gorham mill in 2012. The bank-financed portion included a State of New Hampshire Business Finance Authority guarantee.
Mark began his career at Ernst & Young as a C.P.A. He has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Rochester, and an M.B.A. from the Simon Business School, University of Rochester. Mark has a working knowledge of German.
