Jim Danahy

Jim Danahy is an expert in retail operations, marketing and strategic planning. He has designed and implemented custom operating methods for companies in the retail, hospitality, healthcare and service sectors. He is an authority on customer-centered operating practices and is a leading developer of cost management and performance improvement systems for retail marketing. He is also experienced in designing pre and post merger integration processes.

Clients have included Revco (Now CVS), Service Merchandise, Saks. Inc. , McRae's Department Stores, OGR Funeral Services, Pharmasave Drug Stores, Sobeys Grocery Stores, Loeb Grocery Stores, Bata Shoes, and Union Gas Retail. Jim began his career at Eaton's department stores and moved on to senior corporate positions at Pepsi-Cola, Pizza Hut, and Maple Leaf. As a senior advertising executive, he led communications for Kodak, Met Life, DuPont, Canada Dry, Labatt, and McNeil Pharmaceutical (Tylenol).

Jim commentary on consumer products and retailer strategies has been in The Secured Lender, a publication of The Commercial Finance Association, Your Convenience Store Manager, and The Globe & Mail.

Jim holds a B.A. in Communications from Ryerson University. Jim is a Director of the RAC Canada, the advertising industry association.
